Rodney D. Ryder is a leading technology, intellectual property and corporate lawyer. He is the founding partner at Scriboard™; a full service legal consulting firm.

He is the author of Guide to Cyber Laws: the Information Technology Act, 2000, E-Commerce, Data Protection and the Internet, the first section-wise analysis of the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000. He is presently Advisor to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India on the implementation of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Mr. Ryder has been nominated as a 'Leading Lawyer' in intellectual property, technology, communications and media law by Asia Law, Who'sWhoLegal, Asia Legal 500, amongst other International publications. Mr. Ryder is also advisor to the Data Security Council of India [a NASSCOM initiative] on the structuring of industry data privacy and information security policies and contractual standards.

His second book, Intellectual Property and the Internet, published by LexisNexis is perhaps the only one of its kind in Asia. The text has been acknowledged to be an authoritative work by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and has been quoted in the first and only judgement by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on domain names. He is advisor to the National Internet Exchange of India [NiXI] and a member of the panel of independent and neutral arbitrators with NiXI.

Ashwin Madhavan, is the Co Founder of Law Wire. He is a IVth year law student of Gujarat National Law University- Gandhinagar. He has written several articles for various National and International publications. He has the honour of writing an article for the prestigious Indian Journal of International Law on – ‘Legal Outsourcing and Its Implications on the Indian Legal Fraternity’. He also has had one of his articles published in the Halsbury’s Law Monthly published by Lexis Nexis Butterworths.

He has researched extensively on ‘Legal Outsourcing’ and ‘the Indo US Nuclear Deal’. He has had the honour of presenting his findings on the Indo US Nuclear Deal at the Centre for International Legal Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has written several articles on this important issue as well. He is part of the founding team at Scriboard Knowledge Solutions. Peter Bartlett

Peter practises primarily in the area of complex business litigation where there is corporate risk and the area of media and communications.

Peter Bartlett is the immediate past Chairman of Minter Ellison. Peter lead the discussions on behalf of one of the three firms that amalgamated in 1987, to form Minter Ellison. Peter has been the longest serving board member of the firm since then. In that time, the firm has seen unparalleled growth. The firm is now the largest law firm in the Asia Pacific region (Asian Legal Business) with eight offices in Australia and seven overseas.

In September 2007 Peter assumed the office of Chairman of the World Services Group, an association of some twelve thousand professionals worldwide.

Peter is vice President of the Australian Services Roundtable and a member of the Trade and International Relations Task Force of the Business Council of Australia.

Peter acts for a wide range of Australian and International media and communications companies.

Peter has experience with government, having acted for ministers and back benches from both sides of politics. He served on the State Sports Centres Trust from 1999-2003 and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre Trust from 1995-2003, under both Liberal and Labour governments.

Peter was Special Counsel to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman from 1994-2001.

Dr.V.C.Vivekanandan

Professor of Law and Head of Distance Education, National Law School of India University (on Lien from NALSAR University of Law), & Adjunct Visiting Professor, Buffalo University, USA , Asia-Pacific member of ALAC at ICANN.

Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan received his PhD on ‘Impact of TRIPS on IP legal regime in India- from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He has a Master’s Degree in Corporate Law and Securities. He also holds a Master’s Degree and M.Phil. degree in Public Administration from Madras University.

He is also a visiting faculty for programmes at leading national institutes in the field of cyber Laws like the National Police Academy, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and others. He served as the expert member of the EDGE Foundation of University of Ottawa in drafting the ‘WIPO Development Agenda report tabled with WIPO General Assembly. He is a member of the ‘Special Interest Group’ of the Association of Biotech led Enterprises (ABLE) Bangalore, member of Bioethics committee of the APIDC Venture capital fund and. Advisor to Pharmexil.

Prof.Vivekanandan is actively involved in the research and dissemination of various legal regimes interfacing Internet Governance. His publications include Jurisprudence of Cyber laws, IPR in Cyber Space, Cyber crimes and regulations, IP for Information Technology and Patents a primer to name a few.

His work concentrates on Digital Divide, Open Source models and E-Governance.
